Determined to start off with a holistic experience in Las Vegas? The Govinda’s Center of Vedic India and Radha Govinda-Mandir is less than a 10 minute ride from McCarran International Airport. If you land on a Thursday evening and are dying for All You Can Eat buffet vegan/vegetarian style, you’re in luck!
The All You Can Eat buffet is prepared fresh on Thursdays to feed the body and soul, at $8 this is a great deal. The buffet is available 6-9PM. Foods include a vegetable dish, bread, soup, rice, salad, desert and herbal tea. More info on the items offered is here.
The Govinda’s Center is part of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). ISKCON was founded in 1996 and is recognized as the Hare Krishna movement. The Govinda’s Center “…offers guidance in the Vedic techniques of spiritual life that have been described in the most ancient scriptures on this planet the Vedic literature written 5,000 years ago in India…”
The Vedic techniques are tied to four Vedas which together comprise the primary scriptures of Hinduism. They are written in Vedic Sanskrit and are considered the oldest scriptures of Hinduism.
